ANCIENT MOSAIC features the largest slice of Brecciated Mookaite we've ever found. The stone is composed of 120 million year old fossilized sediment of marine organisms, accumulated at the rate of a few millimeters every thousand years on the seabed. Some specimens, such as this one, show a broken pattern of fissures along with sealed fractures creating wonderful displays of pattern. BRECCIATED MOOKAITE is found only at the top level of Mookaite deposits.
