When I start a new series and I know I am changing my focus, I want to look at the bandwidths, or sections, that will bring me to a new place. “Clarity” moves away from a literal landscape, yet the horizontal lines ground us. Primarily, this is about competing palettes of warm and cool, and how they are separate yet interactive in creating the whole: the reality-based blue color of sky and imagined temperature of the atmosphere (which I have always been fond of involving). So a suggestion of the yin and yang, the yes and no, the eternally competing areas of nature so to speak.
